City.Risks: Avoiding and mitigating safety risks in urban environments

City.Risks was a three year action-research project which received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme (under Grant Agreement 653747). Social scientists, software developers and engineers from across five European partner countries including the UK (London), Bulgaria (Sofia), Italy (Rome), Greece (Athens) and Sweden (Malmo) were involved in the development of an innovative technological platform (e.g. a mobile phone application) which aimed to increase perceptions of safety and security amongst citizens who live and/or work in the city.

This project was completed in May 2018.
