ICPR Associate

I’m a practicing clinician and first-year PhD researcher in Psychosocial Studies at Birkbeck, University of London. My doctoral project is an interdisciplinary study that draws on psychoanalytic and psychosocial theories to explore how collective memory and affect are processed in the aftermath of political violence. By focusing on the conceptual foundations and historical evolution of amnesty, I examine how practices of reconciliation intersect with contemporary debates around justice, memory, and psychosocial repair. I’m especially interested in the emotional, symbolic, and political dimensions of collective recovery, and in how trauma shapes social and political identities across time. Questions of resilience, historical reckoning, and the transmission of trauma are central to both my academic and clinical endeavors.

I hold a BA in Psychology, an MA in Psychoanalytic Studies and a Certificate of Higher Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My post-training as a clinician also included one-year training in Clinical Psychopathology and one year training at the Institute of Psychoanalysis. I am also a published author of five books, in my country, Greece.
